Libertarian Success Assured

If the world were free of socialists, "progressives," "do-gooders," and other would-be dictators, libertarians (like most people ... hint, hint) would have no interest in entering politics.

But in a world addicted to using government force in misguided attempts to "help people," many libertarians recognize the need to engage in politics for the purpose of self-defense, to keep the bad guys as well as the so-called good guys (well-meaning "do gooders") from legislating a slavery-burden of rules. regulations, decrees, taxes, wealth distribution, and other ego-vested insanity.

"But you have to have some government!"

A few libertarians claim the only government needed is individual self-government. They would change their minds quickly if they lived among unchecked roving brute force gangs. Governments evolve naturally for good reason.

Unfortunately, the Democratic Party in America, like socialist parties in other countries, has itself become a unchecked brute force gang, so even the polyanna "peaceful anarchy" libertarians might start seeing the need to be politically active in self-defense.

Libertarians who enter politics in self-defense seem to have two choices:

1. Recruit a number of very mature and very wise men and women into the Libertarian Party and find the one issue which will catapult the Libertarian Party into major party status as the Republican Party wanes (just as the slavery issue catapulted the Republican Party into major party status as the Whigs waned).

2. Develop their own maturity and wisdom, then wisely and maturely take over the Republican Party following the example of patient "progressives" who over many years have taken over the Democratic Party.

Divided ... libertarians are conquered, as their enabler role in the rise of Obama fascism has proven.

United behind a single strategy, libertarian success is assured. But which stategy will libertarians finally be sold on?

Welcoming an already successful politician, Bob Barr, was a smart move for the LP. The LP has become a bit wiser and more mature. But progress in this direction so far has not been nearly enough. The LP remains on balance more immature and unwise than not.

The most successful libertarian to date has been Ron Paul, and his popularity has been a direct result of his activism in introducing libertarian ideas into nationally viewed Republican debates. Can you imagine what would happen if libertarians quit trying to get the LP into Republican-Democrat debates and instead, like Ron Paul, entered Republican debates as Republican candidates in Republican primaries?

Nonetheless, Paul's unwise heavy anti-war focus only reinforced Obama's stand and made it possible for an unscrupulous far-left fascist to be elected. Speaking out strongly instead on a more clearly anti-Democratic Party issue will definitely yield much more self-defensive progress for libertarians.

Now maybe it's the LP's turn to get some attention, as self-proclaimed loud mouth Wayne Allyn Root, far from mature and wise but certainly charismatic, is beginning to gain national viewership:

It's hard to like the arrogance of Wayne Allyn but at least he is not waiting for others to change the world he sees. He is taking full personal responsibility for change being made. This ownership attitude reminds one of the Apostle Paul, or Ayn Rand.

If you are just waking up to your innate libertarian side and want to investigate deeper the underlying nonsense of Obama's religion of government worship, give yourself the pleasure of reading Ayn Rand's epic and masterful novel, Atlas Shrugged

"God's laws will keep your minds at peace, because peace IS His Will, and His laws are established to uphold it. His are the laws of freedom, but yours are the laws of bondage. Since freedom and bondage are irreconcilable, their laws CANNOT BE UNDERSTOOD TOGETHER. The laws of God work only for your good, and there ARE no other laws beside His. Everything else is merely lawLESS, and therefore chaotic." -Jesus Christ in A Course in Miracles

For the last election year studied (1998) some of the highest percentage of votes for Libertarian Party candidates were for candidates who had been studying free of charge the lessons of: Course in Political Miracles

For a great discussion on Christianity vs. State Socialism see: Christianity vs. State Socialism

“I did not understand what made me free, nor what my freedom is, nor where to look to find it. Father, I have searched in vain until I heard Your Voice directing me. Now I would guide myself no more. For I have neither made nor understood the way to find my freedom. But I trust in You. You Who endowed me with my freedom as Your holy Son will not be lost to me. Your Voice directs me." (Prayer from A Course in Miracles)

Here is a similar take on the nearness of our success today, in which we are "97 percent" there:

Is Sarah Palin's Joy Ayn Rand's Ideal?

Lesson 50: "I join Ayn Rand, educating spiritually." Government worshippers are in control of most universities, virtually every public school system, and almost every major media market. The general public has been thoroughly brainwashed to believe that if there is a problem, or the illusion of a problem, government solutions are the answer ... a new government program, a new government bureaucracy, more power to government. Because almost all avenues of education and information have been under the control of government worshippers, the vast majority of people are stuck in thinking habits which will never for long periods of time serve liberty. Because people's underlying thinking habits will rise to the surface again and again, any libertarian political victory can only be short-lived ... unless people's underlying way of thinking is changed. As much as I might hate to admit it, thorough re-education of the public cannot not be a number one priority for libertaria...

Ron Paul is Wrong; Mitt Romney is Right!

"Ron Paul does not believe we went into Iraq because of 9/11. But Mitt Romney obviously believes we did. So who’s right?" ~Gary Benoit The strained arguments of some libertarians that Dwight Eisenhower is somehow responsible for the 9/11 attack in New York is equivalent to arguing that President James Buchanan was responsible for the Mountain Meadows Massacre of the Baker-Fancher emigrant party on 9/11 in Utah. It is truth in the sense we are all responsible for everything in our world. This is a very valuable truth, wouldn't you say? The twisted leftist argument is that Islamic Jihadists would not have declared war on Western societies if it hadn't been for Western government policies reaching back through the years. But anyone who studies the Koran knows this argument is bullshit. The Koran demands that war be waged on "infidels" until everyone on earth is either converted to Islam, enslaved by Islamists, or killed. Mitt Romney is right. The United States...

Jesus Christ & Ayn Rand: Brother & Sister

It is far too easy (intellectually lazy) to conclude that Jesus Christ and Ayn Rand are miles apart in what they teach. Nothing is further from the truth. It is only necessary to juxtapose the words of Ayn Rand with the words of Jesus to see they teach exactly the same. Ayn Rand summarizes her teaching this way: "My philosophy, in essence, is the concept of man as a heroic being, with his own happiness as the moral purpose of his life, with productive achievement as his noblest activity, and reason as his only absolute." — Ayn Rand, Appendix to Atlas Shrugged Let's look at the words of Jesus Christ regarding these four elements: 1. heroic being, 2. happiness as purpose, 3. productiveness, and 4. reason as absolute. Let's start with the idea that man must choose to be a heroic being. Here is how Jesus Christ says it: Be not content with littleness, but be sure you understand what littleness is, and why you could never BE content with it. Littleness is the offering you ...
